How I Didn't Care & Bought 800 EOS

I find the market funny. Just 3 months ago when EOS was at about US$16, people would say it’s overpriced and that they would wait out for a dip. Now it’s the dip, and people would go like, oh well, let’s wait for when it’s US$3.

You know what? I didn’t care. I just bought 800 more EOS. Sometimes it’s a gamble. You won’t know where it would lead. But you weigh your odds. We are not buying at all time highs, and we are buying when the market is relatively quiet. We know for certain Dan Larimer has created two successful projects in the past — Steemit and Bitshares. We know chances are EOS is gonna be great too.

We know both Peter Thiel and Jihan Wu invested in this project, although probably not directly in the coin. I think if I don’t buy now, I might just never would.

When EOS Was US$0.5 Last Year In July

I still remember the days when EOS was US$0.5, and people on EOS’s Reddit forum were talking about how it would drop further down to US$0.3, before they would then scoop up their EOS.

Fast-forward to just a few months later, EOS was worth US$4. And someone told a story of how he invested at US$0.5, and pulled out at US$4. He said he originally invested US$10,000 in it. Do the maths, and you know how much he profited from just doing what he deemed sensible at that time.

It’s Always Gonna Be A Gamble Because No One Can Predict the Future

When it comes to investing in new projects, it’s always gonna be a gamble. It’s just an educated vs a reckless one. Buying at EOS’s current price feels like an educated one for me. And I wouldn’t want to waste time standing on the sideline anymore, only to be that guy looking back at previous “what-ifs” and cry. I want to be in it this time. Be it a win or a loss.
