Here is a list of all known Bitcoin mining farms’ and vaults’ locations. I will add to the list over time. I am compiling this list because I want to predict where the Citadels will be at (i.e. if they would ever come into existence). The Citadels, according to the 2013 Reddit Time Traveller, are fortified Bitcoin cities where Bitcoin mining farms and vaults would ultimately find themselves in.

Locations of Known Bitcoin Mining Farms 

1. Reykjanes of Iceland. This is where Genesis Mining situates their mining rigs. This is a peninsula to the southwest of Iceland.
2. Sichuan of China. Benefiting from cheap hydro-electricity, this place is the home to the majority of the Chinese mining rigs. This place is in the central region of China.
3. Dalian of China. This is a small city located in the north eastern region of China. The city faces the Chinese coastline and is close to the North Korean Border.
4. Pyongyang of North Korea. Kim Jong-un is educating their people on Bitcoin mining and has been mining Bitcoins since January 2018, according to the CIA of the United States. They are using mining to generate funding for their regime.
5. Washington of the United States. This is home to GigaWatt’s mining farm. It is situated in a former industrial warehouse, but the exact location is not disclosed to avoid public attention.
6. Linthal of Switzerland. Linthal is a small village in the eastern part of Switzerland. This mining farm was originally situated in Zurich. But it has been relocated to this small village to utilise on its less expensive electricity cost.
7. Near Moscow of Russia. The location of this mining farm is near the capital of Russia. But its exact location is not disclosed to the public.

Locations of Known Bitcoin Vaults

1. Switzerland. Believes to be in Zurich. Precise location not known. We know, however, that it is in a decommissioned Swiss army bunker dug into the mountains. Xapo runs this vault.

2. United Kingdom. Elliptic, co-founded by Tom Robinson, offers deep cold storage services of Bitcoins since 2014. They are set up in the UK. Their services are insurance protected by Lloyd’s Bank of London. An online search shows that Elliptic’s office is in London, right beside the London Bridge. But that location is not militarised at all, so I think the exact location of the vault is somewhere else. That’s just their front office.

   

3. Other locations. Xapo announces that they have vaults in 5 continents. Europe is down for that Swiss vault. As of today, the exact locations of the rest are still not known.
